MRI Setting High QC Bar

OGDEN, Utah—Mineral Resources International Inc. (MRI) and its exclusive supplier, Northshore Limited Partnership, announced it has implemented a range of quality testing to ensure all of the minerals the company markets from the Great Salt Lake for human consumption are free of unsafe heavy metal contaminants. The company has undergone GRAS affirmation and FDA notification to allow the use of the MRI concentrates in varying food applications. It also uses the heavy metals safety test prescribed for minerals in the U.S. Food Chemicals Codex, and does not release products until they have passed that test, which is conducted by a third-party laboratory.
